Welcome

Founded in 2012 and based in Williamstown, WV

Welcome to Pickering Energy Solutions USA. We have participated in the development of almost 50 solar systems from Pennsylvania to Florida. We may provide consulting, design and/or development for these projects and work with local solar contractors to provide for the installation and maintenance of these facilities.

Background:

Providing Solar Energy for a Future Generation

We all use electrical energy in a variety of ways in our life, often without thinking about the source or environmental cost of this energy. In our region of the US most of our power is produced through the burning of fossil fuels, primarily coal, in power plants (91% in WV in 2021). The combustion of fossil fuels for energy production is attributed to global warming and a host of other environmental, social and health problems. Thus, currently our energy use creates pollution and environmental degradation–however it is not always noticeable to us because it is not in our backyard.

Renewable energy technologies have matured to the point where they can reasonably be incorporated into our lives with little impact on us while allowing us to live in a more environmentally friendly manner. Solar photovoltaic panels, which can be easily incorporated into a variety of building environments, often without visual impact, will produce over 6 times the amount of energy that it takes to make the panel over its 25-year lifecycle. Aside from having a positive impact on the environment they are also a good financial investment.

Additionally, to encourage the use of electric vehicles in WV we donate Level II electric vehicle chargers to local communities. Chances are if you charged your electric vehicle at a public charging station in Marietta, OH (3); Belpre, OH (2); Parkersburg, WV (6); Buckhannon at WV Wesleyan Solar Carport, WV (4), Greenbank, WV (2); Charleston, WV (2); Martinsburg, WV (2); Fairmont (2) or Morgantown, WV (2) you probably charged at a station donated by Pickering Energy Solutions.
