Integrated Geriatric Care
Overview
Integrated Geriatric Care, PLLC (IGC) is a specialty medical practice focusing on elder health. The office is a single condominium located in a two level quad plex with other businesses. There is separate power metering for each of the four offices. When the physician owner approached Solar Energy Solutions for a rooftop PV system, the first agenda item was to secure a written agreement on the use of the roof which is a common space. In the five years before the PV system install, the mixed asphalt shingle roof was replaced, energy star rated exterior windows (entire building) were installed and the 27 year old furnace upgraded to a more efficient model (IGC office). The array consists of 60, 245 w polycrystalline panels providing on average 80% of the electric energy used by the practice or a total 15kWDC generation capacity. This is a grid intertie system and excess energy produced but not used is fed back into the power grid.
